• Are you looking for unique and private campsites suitable for individuals, couples or groups?
  • Do you want to learn about wool growing and the operations of a commercial grazing enterprise?
  • Have you seen wildlife emus, eagles, brolgas, red kangaroos and echidnas in their natural environments?

Then you have come to the right place! Dunblane is a wool sheep grazing property located off the Landsborough (Matilda) Highway 8km west of Barcaldine.

Experience the beauty and expanse of the outback's night sky. Here are 35 amazing benefits of camping under the stars . Enjoy the seclusion and serenity in the vast open and uninterrupted spaces of the outback. But we don't need to convince you - our reviews speak for themselves!

What do people like about our campsite? The sunsets that never fail to impress. At night...lightening an open fire, cooking a meal on the hot coals and watching falling stars. During the day...letting the kids go exploring, walking the dog, being near sheep and cattle in their natural environment.

In addition to on-farm campsites, there are a few different experiences dependent upon your interests and length of stay.

  • Self-drive tour (2-3 hours) including a walk through the wool shed where you can feel the wool and smell the sweat and lanolin.
  • Hot tubs filled with clear water from the Great Artesian Basin. These are very popular in the winter months.

Amenities depend on the site booked - check the options listed on our  Hipcamp booking page.
